T. Wesley Dodson Jr. retired from Alcoa in July 1994.  He joined
Alcoa on Jun 1, 1967 and was in Purchasing throughout his tenure
with the company, in Point Comfort, TX, Pittsburgh, PA, and for 21
years in Benton, AR.  He came to Arkansas in June 1973 as assistant
district purchasing agent, succeeding J. Kenneth Chambers as district
purchasing agent in March 1974 and transportation manager in July
1990.
Dodson received the Certified Purchasing Manager designation and is
active in the Purchasing Management Association of Arkansas,
serving as a board member and chairman of the 1995 Trade Show
Committee.
He is a member of the Central Arkansas Transportation Association.
In 1992, the National Association of Purchasing Management named
him the T. A. Corcoran Award winner for District Seven.
He is past president of the Arkansas Purchasing Management
Association.  The Arkansas Association bestowed on him “Purchaser
of the Year” in 1990 and the “Distinguished Service” award in 1992
and Life Membership in 1993.  The Central Arkansas Transportation
Association bestowed honorary member in 1994.
A native of Hermitage, TN, Dodson graduated from George Peabody
College in 1958 with a B.S. in Chemistry.
A Navy Veteran, he was a member of SUBPAC from 1951-1955.
